The MOST Important Fly for Permit!

Dave Skok’s Strong Arm Merkin has become one of the most important Permit flies, winning or placing in many Florida Keys Tournaments. This fly is tied on a Gamakatsu SL11 3H hook, which is both sharp and rediculously strong. The Strong Arm has been redesigned over the last 10 years. The claw is now placed up the bend of the hook, inverting it to ride point up even when using ultra-light weight lead eyes. The result is that anglers are now able to throw much lighter flies than they had previously. This fly has proved itself invaluable in both the March Merkin and the Del Brown tournaments.
