Modern Spey Action in a Compact Length

This Spey rod was designed to suit the trends of modern spey lines becoming increasingly compact. Spey casting champion, Mariusz Wrobewski assisted Echo in producing the most advanced spey rods that are available. Spey lines have evolved since they hit the mainstream, yet the rods have remained largely the same. So Echo started from scratch to find the ideal flex and length to most effectively fish today’s most popular types of compact two-hand lines.

Echo’s lightweight family of new spey rods include the Full Spey, Compact Spey, and Trout Spey. These new rods are dialed for how today’s anglers fish their two handed rods. The Compact Spey comes in a standard 12′ length in 6wt, 7wt and 8wt.
